“Good rooms, nice views of animals, and some of the best restaurants in the park. Newly renovated rooms are a step down though. Faux- hardwood floors are noisy, cold and definitely transmit sound from rooms above you. The walk to some of the rooms can be significant (400 steps from lobby) and room service often came quite late in the day (4:00 on). For a great view of the animals, take a walk down the right wing in the morning and go outside to the stairs. Most of the animals wait there for breakfast!”

Just driving up was amazing! The grounds are beautiful, staff is polite and inviting. Lobby was awesome beautiful, too! Rooms were spotless, beds were so comfy. The best part was seeing the animals every morning when we woke up. Absolutely breathtaking! All I could do the first morning was cry in awe. Wonderful experience.

We previously stayed at Coronado Springs (a moderate level resort, while this is supposedly luxury) and the rooms were nicer there. Besides having the animals here, the resort at Coronado springs was all around much nicer. The hotel restaurants here are booked out months in advance, leaving the only option for food being Mara, which means you can choose from about 3 different options to eat, and those options are the same for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. The resort is really not designed for you to be able to spend the day at and enjoy, which is insane for the price you pay. Overall very disappointing. The animals are cool, but anyone can stop out and visit them. Do not recommend booking here. We still have a few days left and are just really sick of the place. Overall damper on our Disney trip, do not recommend.

Our room was beautiful, I loved all the details, great shower pressure and bed and pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping came very quickly when called, as I didn't have washcloths. The lobby was amazing, every single detail was thought out. The grounds were beautiful as well as the animals that were out. We had an amazing view to see multiple animals from the balcony. The restaurants were amazing and had great food. The Mara, the quick service location has few options outside of desserts and was very disappointing and the worst thatbi had been to in any resort. It needed new drink machines, updates, etc.

Amazing hotel, absolutely loved staying here the whole experience was just so wonderful.
Waking up to animals out side of your room was such a brilliant experience.
Staff was amazing house keeping was brilliant, buses to the parks where so convenient and regular.
Pool was great and food offered at this resort was lovely. Its very pricey and I saved for 4 years to come here and I'm pretty sad I won't be able to stay again, if you can do it just once then do it!

As you walk in, the resort is dark and mysterious as you'd assume the animal kingdom would be. The smell in the air is divine.
The rooms were clean, comfortable and efficient. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and mouth wash are provided and, again, smell divine. There was room to store luggage under the beds and a small fridge was an added bonus.
We had several meals at The Mara, which surprisingly offered upscale options for a counter service restaurant. The gift shop had some wonderful wine and many assorted grab and go options. The only negative side was the distance from the parks, however, the buses are easy and convenient.

The staff is A+! So kind! Which is refreshing because people are usually not that nice but man these cast members go above and beyond!
Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, pillows soft. Pools are great and so kid friendly with the splash area. Loved the theme of the entire resort. Animals super cool! Loved it!

We stayed for 8 days and found the lodge very comfortable. The staff was also very responsive a . They were a great resource. The store in the building had some basic groceries, souvenirs and some of the "little things" that people forget to bring. There is also a good variety of allergy friendly and child friendly meal options.

Very little Disney Magic here. Paid $840 per night including taxes to stay over Memorial Day weekend. Facilities are 4-star, but customer service is 2-star at best. There is no in-room dining. They only service your room every two days, which on its own based on room prices is a little outrageous, but as others have stated, they also give you a really hard time about getting your room serviced even when they only do it every two days. If you judge it by the attitude of the Lodge staff, Disney just doesn’t care anymore. Disney management has figured out that they can raise prices while dramatically lowering Disney’s level of customer service and the masses will still come.
Seeing the few animals outside your room is cool, but not worth the 70% premium. Your money is better spent at a hotel with better amenities, better value and a higher level of customer service.

Truly magical experience (exactly as you'd expect from Disney!) The hotel itself was beautiful. The staff was amazing and very helpful. We had a safari view room and waking up to have coffee on the balcony with a giraffe right in front of you is amazing. There were evening activities for the kids, like making s'mores beside the wildlife area. The pool was great, with more fun activities for the kids. My only complaint is the Mara quick service food location on site was not that great but was pretty pricey. The saving grace was the gift shop off the lobby had some groceries that made for easy breakfasts before heading to the parks. The regular transportation to and from the parks made everything really easy.

We enjoyed watching the animals at our balcony. Very peaceful. The harmony between the animals everyday. Quite tamed and well trained to keep distance from one another.Alwaysexcited to see the zoo keepers cleaning and bringing them some fresh hay and other vegetables to eat.

O Animal Kingdom Lodge é incrível para quem busca tranquilidade, excelentes serviços de limpeza, café da manhã e conforto. Sua localização fica um pouco distante dos principais parques de Orlando, mas possui transporte gratuito do aeroporto para o hotel e do hotel para os parques da Disney até as 2h da manhã. O tema da decoração é o continente africano. Em todo seu interior, inclusive nos quartos são feitas alusões ao continente - sem contar com as apresentações culturais que ocorrem no horário noturno. Procurar os hidden mickeys é uma tarefa divertida e instiga o hóspede a conhecer todo o hotel. Há uma pequena loja de conveniência que vende uma variedade considerável de alimentos e guloseimas. Recomendo à todos!

Arquitetura belíssima. Um resort completo, ideal para famílias de todos os tamanhos e crianças de todas as idades. Há uma savana dentro do hotel de onde pode-se observar girafas, zebras e outros animais típicos desses biomas.

Wonderful experience. Towels for 9 were freshened every other day, as requested. Coffee and tea were also replaced a needed. If we needed anything, a call to front desk was made and we had immediate service. Everyone we dealt with was friendly and courteous for our entire 7 day stay. The animals roaming was truly a bonus. Kids and adults were constantly amazed at the animals.

Wouldn't you enjoy drinking your morning coffee with the giraffe's and ankole cattle? The Savannah room view was spectacular. You will want to request a room in close proximity to the lobby/pool/dining. This hotel is big. The decor is tasteful and traditional. Staff is helpful and nice. Only complaints are; room is only lightly cleaned every 2 days (apparently because of Covid) and the pillows were not up to par. I know that seems petty but, at $650 a night...I expect best in class bedding.

This is got to be one of the best on site resort hotels at Disney!!! I stayed here for my birthday and was upgraded to a Savannah view! The rooms have been refurbished within the last few years and it looks awesome! The view of the animals was spectacular!I saw zebras ostrich and many many giraffes!! If I ever win the lottery I think this is where I would live!! The on-site staff is friendly and helpful!

This was definitely a magical experience! The Animal Kingdom Lodge, Jambo house. We had a Savannah view which was super cool to look out and see the giraffe and all of the other animals. Everything was very clean and all of the staff members were super friendly. We loved the pool and all of the other outdoor areas. The only things we didn't enjoy was the Mara restaurant. The food was not very good at all. I would without a doubt recommend to stay here you or anyone in your families into African wildlife.

We didn't stay here, but have visited numerous times to fine. While this resort is away from many of the parks (you can only get there by car or bus), it is beautiful. You can sit and watch the animals. The restaurants are great!

Disney's operation has changed and now it feels like a money grab. They used to offer shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. Not anymore. House cleaning is every two days under the guise of COVID. For a four night stay, we had one "light" service. This means they replaced some of the towels and removed some of the trash. Since we have no way of cleaning for ourselves, this is unsanitary. At $500 a night, I don't think I should have to ask for more towels. They have cut service but they certainly haven't cut price. Food options are limited to the hotel, parks, and Disney Springs if you don't have a car. We paid a lot of money to eat at their restaurants without an equal return of food quality. We may visit the Disney parks again when the children are a little older, but I don't see a case for spending our money at their resorts.

Loved the vibes. Animals weren’t really out and about but it was cold that day so I get it. The food was great! And you can tell the effort put into the lodge to meet the theme. I would love to stay there some day. The arcade wasn’t worth it though. Many machines weren’t working.

Have the resources to spend on a Disney vacation? Then this is probably your best hotel for a family experience.
The place is simply beautiful, and the attached zoo makes you feel as if you were in the jungle.
The food is delicious, and like every other Disney place everyone is very polite and helpful.
It also includes free transportation to every other Disney location.
If you have the ability to afford a Disney vacation, and you are traveling with children, then you MUST check out this place.

O melhor de todos os hotéis da Disney se você quiser ter uma experiência inesquecível de uma savana. Da sua sacada você vê os animais pastando. Quais? Gratas, Guinus, veados... Pra quem ama o clima de savana vale muuuuito a pena. Me apaixonei!

Não me hospedei. Visitei para ver o show "Chip' n' Dale Campfire Sing-A-Long". O complexo é enorme e muito bonito. Tem ônibus que circula internamente para levar as pessoas para os lugares internos. O show é bem legal, com fogueira para assar mashmellos e um músico cantando clássicos de acampamento americano (muitos músicas, nós conhecemos as versões brasileiras). A única reclamação do show é que os esquilos Tico e Teco não tiram fotos juntos com você (é só um, que vai no seu banco) e nem autografam.

This resort has everything. The African theme is incredibly well done. The rooms are bigger then most other DVC resorts and the pool and savanna are stunning. You might have to spend a little more time on the bus to get to the parks but in my opinion well worth the small inconvenience for such a beautiful resort.

Have stayed here a couple times. Really enjoy the fact animals are right outside your window, and through out the hotel area. While it is the furthest hotel from magic kingdom, the bus ride wasn't long and they had a lot of busses to get you where you wanted to go. Far warning though, there is no microwave in the hotel rooms, unless you're a part of the vacation club.

We loved the pool and waking up to watch the animals on our patio each morning. Customer service was….ok. Nothing over the top great…..nothing over the top awful. I knew going into it our room would not be attended to during our 8 night stay…. BUT if they have not intentions of cleaning/stocking the rooms could you at least leave supplies like trash bags ….more towels…. enough coffee supplies… toilet paper… etc etc. I’m on vacation I don’t want to track these items down. It’s gross walking the halls and seeing bags of trash out. Also I’m on vacation, a vacation that was not cheap, if you do not intended to give full service I feel consideration should be given to that fact that you are “charging” full price. We enjoyed our stay, loved the pool and the opportunity to experience unique animals right out our door. With that being said, the value for the price tag in our opinion did not match. Glad we did it, will not return.

Price vs benefit? I stayed at this resort for 3 nights and it has a nice accommodation as well as a great inside-safari experience. But at the end of the day, you need to balance what you pay vs what you get and I conclude that it is a bit expensive.There are a few things to consider in the review: * This hotel is far from the parks and most of the shuttles take more than 20 minutes to put you on the final destination (even if is a park or the springs area) * The Savannah experience is a randomized experience where you can see different types of animals or nothing (its kind a matter of luck) because it is a extended area and sometimes your room or location area is empty * it has only 2/3 restaurants and since it can be scheduled by outsiders, you may not found food in your hotel (that’s actually what happen to me in 3 od the 4rd days I stayed..). The hotel should keep spots fort eh people that is staying there.So at the end is a Nice hotel but its not perfect at all and they charge you like you are staying in a 5star resort. I got even better prices in hotels Like the Ritz Carlton in previous holiday vacations :-)

We did not stay there but had to go see the Christmas tree in the lobby.It is beautiful and huge.The entire lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas.Will consider staying there next visit.

Minimal to no housekeeping services. Day 3 and beds not made once. I called to ensure a fully made up room tomorrow and someone from housekeeping came up with bedding for me. To change. Myself. At $400 plus per night.The website said every other day if booked more than 4 days. Not true. I explained to manager day 1 when we arrived on Xmas Eve that this is where my daughter wanted to be for our first Christmas after her daddy recently passed (from a brutal fight with cancer). Having the room made is what would make our stay magical for ME.Disney may be woke but they are not paying a living wage to adequately staff the hotel. It’s ridiculous.Never again.

This place is amazing. Waking up to the animals in the morning was awesome. Then relaxing listening to them eating in the dark was pretty fantastic too. The jets in the hot tub is just what you need after walking 12 miles a day at the parks. Depending where you are in hotel you may be walking a very long time back to your room too. They need scooters for people to use!!

Love this resort. So cool to see the animals right outside your balcony. Great staff. The buffet is good and they have a great pool, pool bar and a quick service food place as well. Many hand carved items in the gift shop. Expensive, but in my opinion it's worth doing it atheist once.

A wonderful experience. Like all of Disney World, you get immersed in decor and outfits that match the theme of the park, and it's pretty amazing. The atmosphere goes way past the building itself. There are African animals out on the grounds just outside the lodge. Beds are comfortable, and every place we are was good, albeit overpriced. Recommended!

Animal Kingdom is a Hidden Gem. Often viewed as a third-place competitor behind the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, Animal Kingdom really doesn't deserve that reputation as it is a Hidden Gem in its own right.
If you're looking for exciting coaster rides, this probably isn't the place to visit. However, if you're interested in some of the most beautiful landscaping on Disney property, and an animal preserve that is one of the best around this is the place to go. On hot days Animal Kingdom has the advantage of being one of the most shaded parks on property. There are plenty of good food Outlets to be found and Tiffins, is one of the best restaurants around and it is full of memorabilia from the creation of Animal Kingdom. Reservations are required.
The park, like most Disney Parks, is particularly beautiful and well lit at night. The world of Pandora is probably the best after Dark location in all of Walt Disney World. Definitely worth visiting after dark.

This is a gorgeous resort hotel. The architecture and attention to detail are impeccable. There are two pools, both of which are a lot of fun. There are pool bars, lounges, three full service restaurants, and so much more! Worth every penny!

Place was amazingly clean. I felt they decor was fitting and continuous throughout the entire lodge. Beds were great and rooms were spacious. Large glasses sliding doors led out to large balcony with pretty good view of the animals contained within. It was weird why the water pressure was so extremely high in the sinks and toilet but pretty weak in the shower. Don't get me wrong the bathroom looked fantastic but the toilet sounds like an airplanes toilet flushing and the slightest turn of a faucet gets you a water jet likely to knock anything out of your hands the first time you use it until you're used to it. The place could use more and better parking. More ways to get into the parking area and more elevators/ stairs to get inside. Where we were situated we had a 4 minute walk to get to our room to the elevator. Be sure to ask their caretakers about the animals. They are very pleasant to talk to and very informative. Oh, almost forgot. My Disney magic band didn't always unlock the door to room 7260. There's an issue with the lock on that door and the glass door on the shower didn't seal right.

My daughter turned 15 yesterday and we checked in Friday. No happy birthday nothing at all. Her boyfriend traveled with us and bought her a nice bracelet from Kay Jewelers and left it in the room. Not turned in as of this afternoon. Bathroom had mold in the tub area. Won't be staying her again. Thinking I might just sell my DVC.

We just returned from a 7 day, 6 night stay at this resort (Jambo House). The hotel was fantastic and hands down the best place I’ve ever stayed. We were upgraded to a room with animal view and it definitely made the stay one we’ll never forget. Unfortunately we had a less than pleasant experience with housekeeping. We had the do not disturb sign on our door due to taking a nap. They insisted they had to come in the room to inspect it, which resulted in waking my whole family up. I thought the whole point of that sign was to not disturb? Not to mention the man who came into our room was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable. My travel agent had never heard of that and frankly, I’m still annoyed by it. Other than that, our stay was great. Decor was fantastic, everything made you feel like you were in a different world. Food options are some of the best on the Disney property. I can only give 3 stars due to our experience and will not stay again. I’m grateful for the experience but would rather dish out that kind of money where my privacy can be respected and my child can nap in peace without being disturbed

Good rooms, nice views of animals, and some of the best restaurants in the park. Newly renovated rooms are a step down though. Faux- hardwood floors are noisy, cold and definitely transmit sound from rooms above you. The walk to some of the rooms can be significant (400 steps from lobby) and room service often came quite late in the day (4:00 on). For a great view of the animals, take a walk down the right wing in the morning and go outside to the stairs. Most of the animals wait there for breakfast!

Hands down my favorite Disney resort that I’ve stayed at year to date. Love the decor, the music, the layout of the hotel. There is just something neat about walking through and hearing the authentic music and the smell of the food from the buffet throughout the lobby. We’ve stayed in a room that overlooks the Savannah once and the view was absolutely amazing. Love the accessibility to all food options and the bar. The one downside is the only Disney transportation available to this resort is the bus service so it can take a little longer to get where you want to go.

Don't get me wrong... It's BEAUTIFUL, but...
I think it's a bit cheap of them (and Disney as a whole) to charge extra for breakfast and parking. And they charge A LOT.
Let's start with the breakfast. Abundant, super tasty, big variety of foods and the omelettes made to order are just the best I've tried. The thing is, it costs 30 dollars per person, per day, for everyone. I know it's a Disney policy as a whole, but no hotel that expensive (and trust me, it really is), would charge you for breakfast, let alone 30 dollars.
Parking at the hotels used to be free until a year ago, but for some reason they changed that. Other hotels, like the ones in Miami Beach, do charge for parking, but those are around areas where parking is scarse. Disney has PLENTY of space, so the fact that they charge 25 dollars per day (with no previous warning in our case) is just wrong, specially for a luxurious hotel.
The rooms are great and comfortable, the bathroom is amazing too, and the African setting with the animals is breathtaking. But when you put this two drawbacks into account, it feels like you're paying a lot more than what you're getting.

It's amazing, I'm not sure how else to describe it but this is one of my favorite hotels ever. The restaurants are amazing and the rooms with the animals are fantastic. I love the atmosphere here and the decor. I love being able to go outside and just watch the zebras and giraffes walking around. You won't regret staying here.

All "cast members" (staff) were very kind and helpful. Shuttles to and from Disney parks were easy to navigate and frequent enough that they weren't usually packed to the brim. LOVED seeing giraffes and other wild animals just outside our balcony! If I had to come up with something I didn't like, I guess I wouldn't have minded just a little bit more water pressure from the showerhead (but it wasn't terrible either).

Loved seeing the animals right outside! The children loved Simba's Cubhouse. The pool was cool, but loved the slide. The area with use of the night vision goggles was great . Boma breakfast buffet was great. Staff quick service was great.

The theming was amazing. The staff was very helpful. I also enjoyed all of the unique dining options. The light in the shower is kind of dim which made it hard to see in the bathroom, but other than that I have no complaints.
