“We had the absolute worst experience ever with an Aloft staff person named Stephanie who wins the award for having the nastiest attitude ever! How can a person be in a management role (according to her), and run people away after only being open for 2 days?? With customer service like this, the Aloft will continue to have some of lowest customer ratings of all the Marriott hotels because no matter how “brand new” the property is, if you can’t get quality customer service from staff who know how to interact with people and treat them with courtesy and respect - an aesthetically nice building won’t matter! Stephanie made the check-in process a nightmare! We’ve never had a problem in the past using our employee rate. She had no idea what she was talking about or doing so she offered to allow me to speak with a GM - which I preferred because her attitude was so nasty. When she returned with no one to clarify the matter we decided to leave and go elsewhere instead of continuing to arguing with her in front of other guests, which was totally unprofessional on her part. A quality manager should be trained to listen, diffuse situations, and work with customers instead of being combative and over talking them - particularly when they are misinformed. We’ll never return to this hotel and we don’t recommend!”
