“The Bangkok Biennalee introduced me to this stunning hotel. Of course, I had read about its magnificence in literature and history books but finding oneself right in the middle of Bangkok colonial legacy is a whole other story. One must highlight how pieces of art are amazingly incorporated into the core of the building and how that makes the scenario enjoyable for the most exquisite and demanding eyes. As for the hotel atmosphere itself, it’s hard to imagine something quite unique. Since it a side of the Chao Praya river thatwhich has a decadent tough original charm, it offers a real experience of what the old town used to be. Guest Services are impeccable, including the cleaning and staff skills ; highly above average considering a Thai standard in similar category mansions. If you are curious to wander beyond the Michelin starred restaurant “La Normandie”, my personal recommendation is “Kinu” and its Japanese – Thai fusion style, a non-conventional yet delicious alternative.”

“Love the newly decorated room interior. Love the service especially by the captain at Verandah. We forgot his name, but heard he s over 60. Though working through the New Year's eve till 4am, he still warmly took care of customers in the next morning and evening shifts, really appreciated his helpful and lovely attitude.”
