The Hotel Asturias is truly a pleasure, not only owing to its superb location in the heart of Madrid only 200 meters from the Puerta del Sol but also because the most commercial and cultural area of our city is just a pleasant stroll away. Ours is a hotel conceived as the perfect place for young tourists to stay and enjoy all the entertainment afforded by the old quarter of the city. This hotel has 175 rooms with complete bath, telephone, satellite TV and heating. Other services our guests can use are the restaurant, bar, air conditioned lounge and public parking for 500 cars located opposite the hotel.

“I was in Madrid for a few days (May 2013). The hotel wasn't really good. It was pretty cold at night. There was no floor heating and the overall room temperature was not so high. Also there was no noise isolation at all. We could hear everything, whether within the flor or outside the building.
In the 21th century there should be at least a free WiFi in the lobby. Nope! And the room safe was pretty bad. Everytime you opened it, you had to insert one euro to close it again. So not really usable for cameras or other things you need to take in and out a few times a day! Overall I'm not mad because it was only a city trip and the room stay was only for sleeping. But I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend. Maybe to someone I don't like ;-)

The hotel has a fabulous location. If you are not very demanding for 2 nights that's fine, room 612 happened to me: poor double mattress, no hairdryer, room a little dated. Patience, I only needed it to sleep”
