Free Wi-Fi a large freeform pool and beachfront location four-and-a-half miles from Coco Bongo and nightlife are the chief features of Emporio Hotel & Suites Cancun. Emporio Hotel & Suites has 400 rooms in an eight-floor building with contemporary Mexican interiors. Rooms all come with in-room safes microwaves mini-bars coffee/tea makers free Wi-Fi and flat-panel TVs with DVD players. All rooms have balconies and some have Caribbean Sea views. Non-smoking rooms are available and suites and villas have living rooms and kitchens. Take the plunge into the large freeform outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a deck with palm trees and lounge chairs. The kids get a paddling pool and children's play area. The hotel also has a tennis court fitness room business center convenience store sports and snorkeling equipment (fees may apply) and free parking. Dining and drinking venues include a Mexican and international restaurant with buffets plus an Italian trattoria and poolside bar with snacks and tropical cocktails. Emporio Hotel & Suites Cancun is in the Cancun Hotel Zone on the Caribbean with a white-sand beach with palapas and beach chairs. In the area of the hotel are opportunities for sailing scuba diving snorkeling deep sea fishing swimming with dolphins and more. The nightlife area with Coco Bongo and Señor Frog's is four-and-a-half miles north. The center of Cancun is 14 miles northwest. If you're coming from Cancun International Airport the hotel is nine miles northeast.

“Partner and I were here from 1/9/22 to 1/16/22 with the all-inclusive package. We are new to Mexico but it was overall a great experience.Pros: + Excellent customer service, some of the best I’ve received in my life. All staff were working 100 miles an hour all the time and were extremely friendly, warm, welcoming, accommodating, and easy to work with. It is easy to communicate and get what you need even if you don’t speak Spanish. + Maybe 75% of the hotel guests are from Spanish-speaking countries. This hotel does not feel Americanized. + Delicious food and drinks with a decent but not huge variety available. Soups, desserts, Mexican selections, and seafood were particularly good. + Beautiful rooms, views, beach, pools, hot tubs, and grounds with numerous adult-only areas and not too many kids running around. Everything was extremely clean, well-maintained, and beautifully designed. + Numerous HBO channels and access to English and Spanish TV. + Very helpful, English-speaking staff for planning excursions. + Excellent and affordable massages with flexible scheduling. + Cool shows most nights with great performers. + Hotel clearly takes COVID precautions seriously.Cons: - The beach is beautiful but not good for swimming. It’s really rocky and hurts your feet to stand, and it’s hard to get a good grip so you can swim safely. Water was very rough some of the time but they didn’t change the red flag when it got noticeably calmer. - The pics on booking.com suggest the swim-up rooms have private pools but they do not. Swim-up room just provides walk-up access to the large shared pool. We ended up downgrading when we realized this, which was very low-hassle and they reimbursed us without resistance. - Not enough chairs on the beach, hard to find two together after 11am or so. - Only 2 restaurants and you have to make reservations for them in person at the crowded front desk before 3pm, with three fixed time slots available only (6, 7:30, or 9pm). - Breakfast buffet is very crowded between 9:30-11am. Frequently ran out of items and service was slow during this time. - Pools are quite cold and hot tubs are warm, not hot. - The layout of the hotel is confusing and there are not enough elevators. It is hard to get around without frequently climbing stairs. Might not be good for older guests or people with disabilities. - Room service is not included in the all-inclusive package. - Shower and tub water got somewhat warm but not hot. - Slow and unreliable WiFi that kept disconnecting, was not strong enough to stream video, and did not work well or sometimes at all on the balcony, on the beach, or in certain areas of the hotel.Overall a great value for a 4-star hotel. We will likely be back!”

“It took us an hour to get our key so we literally check in at 4pm, take an hour for bags to arrive in our room as bell boy said they gave him wrong room number, there are ants in the room. There’s various foods for breakfast, good but not great. Other than that, Our room is right in front of warm jacuzzi which is nice, the private beach is pretty and clean. They have at least 3 different swimming pools for adults, and they have dedicated for kids too.”
