“Stayed here for one night in a basic, queen size bed room, and it was a pleasant experience. I would say it is worth the price for its extremely convenient location but the room was very basic. There wasn't anything special about it, despite being newly renovated. It did make me wonder what the not renovated room would have looked like. The service at the front desk was PHENOMENAL, probably the best I've ever had. My partner and I were given a room upgrade because we told him it was a Christmas present and he was just the sweetest man ever. You can text the front desk at this hotel, which I have never seen at any other hotel and I think it's amazing! We used the hot tub and pool, they were average. Check-in and check-out were very easy, you don't even have to go to the front desk to check out; you can fill out a form the drop off over night and put it in a drop box and you're off. I would stay here again %100, but likely only if I get a deal on a room. Thanks again, Royal York!”

“The Royal York is a nice hotel. The lobby is large, open, inviting and has been recently renovated. The lobby and lobby bar is lively and fun. The guest services were really good. I didn't have to wait long to check in and the agent was friendly. There are a 10 elevators to get you to your floor so you don't have long waits or crowded cars when you get in. This is something most hotels can't boast about. My room was very nice. The room was recently renovated with very modern fixtures and furnishings. The craftsmanship of the work was excellent. The wallpaper, for example, was so well done that it was difficult to see the seams. The room was very clean. I always look in the corners to see the attention to detail of a room and the corners were clean of any debris or signs of wear. There are a few reasons that keep me from giving the Royal York a 10 star rating: 1) There was no turn-down service. Maybe they usually have it? I didn't get it. 2) There were no complimentary bottles of water on my arrival or left in my room at a later time 3) The in-room fridge can't be used for personal reasons and you will be charged if you take something out even if you put it back a minute later These three things cater to the Royal York's concern with profitability and not making sure that the customer is taken care of. Instead, if the Royal York took care of the customer then profitability would follow.”
